Stories from the Field
Welcome to our Logbook, a place to gather what’s happening behind the scenes, from new projects and festival news to raw impressions from our days in the field.
Think of it as our storytelling campfire.

Summer 2025
September begins with festival sparks
As September unfolds, we’ve felt a wave of recognition that fills us with gratitude.
Leave It All Behind made it to the finals of the Folco Quilici Award: Nature is Calling.
Vallter has been officially selected for the Nature & Culture International Film Festival, a space that celebrates stories where landscapes and people are inseparable.
Beyond the Race received an Award for Best Adventure Film at the Cinema Brizz Film Festival, plus Honorable Mention at the Athletic Coup Film Festival, reminding us of the raw endurance and spirit behind the X-Alps.
Each of these nods tells us something simple but powerful: that the wild places, the fragile balances, and the human adventures we follow resonate beyond our cameras.
We’re thankful, and we keep moving, because the stories never stop flowing.
After "After the Mountain"
We were already happy with the images we brought back from the Pyrenees. There was light, silence, movement. Enough to say a lot without saying much.
Then Rick added his voice. And suddenly, it all sounded… important.
That’s how Rick works, really.
Quiet, thoughtful, and just the right amount of deep.
Then came Will and Des who took all of it, the footage, the voice, the pauses
and gave it their usual touch.
That’s what Amphibious is about, really. We don’t overthink it.
We go out, we pay attention,
and sometimes things come together in a way that feels just right.
Naturally.
Diving Costa Rica - Beneath the Surface
We have gone underwater. Costa Rica’s Pacific coast opened a whole new stage for us; manta rays flying past like silent giants, reef sharks circling the blue, coral reefs bursting with life, and even the sting of an agua mala to remind us that the ocean always keeps its own rhythm.
Guided by Kraken Divers, we spent days at sea with an extraordinary crew that made every dive a safe adventure and every surface interval a floating home. Their passion for the ocean is contagious, and their knowledge of these waters gave us more than just dives, it gave us stories.
One of the most moving moments: planting coral fragments with the NGO Alianza Mar y Tierra, joining local hands in restoring the reef. A small gesture, but one that lets stories flow not only above the waves, but also deep beneath them.
Pura vida, even underwater.
Field Notes from Costa Rica
Amphibious has landed in Costa Rica, where over 25% of the land is protected parks and reserves. In every corner, behind each leaf, high above the canopy or hidden in the roots below, an unfamiliar creature pokes its head out, stepping into the light as if onto a stage.
The rainforest here feels alive with movement: howler monkeys roar like drums at dawn, scarlet macaws flash across the sky like brushstrokes, and iguanas sunbathe as if they own the stones. Beneath the canopy, rivers twist through the jungle, carrying the pulse of the land to the sea.
And the sea itself is another world, a liquid stage where corals, fish, and turtles drift in their endless choreography.
Costa Rica lives up to its promise of pura vida: a place where nature doesn’t just surround you, it performs for you.
Because here, it is a theater of wild experience.
VALLTER heads to the Nature & Culture International Film Festival
Over millions of years, fire, wind and ice have shaped this landscape… and so have we.
A poem to the mountain.
In winter, snow softens the human lines, the ski lifts, the pistes. For a moment, the place feels wild again. This film is about that fragile, beautiful balance between what’s ours and what belongs only to the mountain.
We’re honoured to announce that Vallter has been officially selected for
the Nature & Culture International Film Festival 2025, in Copenhaguen.
See you in the mountains.

Écrins: Every Turn, a Gift
We spent the day walking nearly 20km through the Écrins National Park, exploring alpine valleys and filming the first material for a new project.
Some b-roll, some behind-the-scenes moments, some quiet.
The light was soft, the mountains generous.
Around every corner, something unexpected, a shape, a sound, a feeling.
We’re looking forward to weaving these moments into a future film.
Beyond the Race, selected for CinemaBriz
We’re thrilled to announce that Beyond the Race — our short documentary featuring world-renowned paraglider Pál Takáts and rising pilot Serge Durrant — has been officially selected by CinemaBriz Festival.
Filmed during the X-Race in the Alps, the film traces segments of the legendary Red Bull X-Alps hike & fly route. With Pál’s veteran experience and Serge’s fresh perspective, the film dives into the physical strain, mental endurance, and quiet camaraderie that define this elite competition.
Beyond the Race is currently making its way through international festivals and is not yet publicly available, stay tuned for more.
